What Is Life Coaching?

In a nutshell life coaching is about accelerating your life and/or career and getting it moving in the right direction. Forward.

No more going round in circles or backsliding!

It's an established way with a proven track record that allows you to identify the life or career you really want, the changes you need to take to make sure you get it and building your confidence so you take action.

Essentially it's about the here and now and your future, not about over analysing your past. You're not a patient who needs 'fixing' or healing, you're a client who needs some short term support, guidance and an impartial voice.

Why? Because at some point we all struggle with one or more of the following:

  • Gaining clarity on your career, direction, or just what's important
  • confidence
  • getting the balance back
  • working out exactly what it is you want out of life
  • trying but failing to get what you want; unable to work out what's holding you back
  • being ruled by your fears; fear of 'failure', fear of the unknown, fear of being judged

When trying to work these things out for yourself it's easy to end up procrastinating and doubting your own decisions. Result? Inaction, frustration, even guilt.

A common, (and possibly overused) phrase used to describe life coaching is 'it can get you from where you are now to where you want to be'. Undoubtedly true but only half the story. Equally as important and often overlooked is what you discover about yourself along the way.
